Hanuman Chalisa

The Hanuman Chalisa is a hymn composed in Awadhi by Goswami Tulsidas, traditionally placed in the 16th century.

It has two opening dohas, forty chaupais and one closing doha. In Hindu tradition Tuesday and Saturday are especially associated with Hanuman, and the Chalisa is commonly recited on those days.
