The 27 Nakshatras and Their Naming Sounds

A Nakshatra is a lunar mansion: one of 27 equal slices of the zodiac, each 13°20′ wide. The Moon spends about a day in each. Every Nakshatra splits into four Padas, and each Pada has a starting sound used when naming a child.

If you know the birth date and time, the birth-chart calculator finds the right row for you.
